About India Corporate Climate Action Data (ICCAD)
ICCAD is an online information platform with dashboards, indices, and trackers; that covers actions of the largest listed Indian corporates related to climate action. The platform sources information from company public filings and also tracks news on key corporate actions.
ICCAD aims to make information accessible to investors, analysts, rating agencies and corporates; and enable them to explore more variables to explore and analyze.

The platform is maintained by cKinetics’ Sustainable Finance practice team. cKinetics is a mission driven Sustainability Insight, Innovation & Capital Advisory Firm. cKinetics has been leading the sustainability conversation since 2012 having authored several landmark reports and leading several consultations, especially with investors.
Information annotated in XBRL
The analysis on ICCAD has been made possible by having all the disclosures marked up using XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language). XBRL is an XML- based markup language that is used for analysing, exchanging, and reporting financial and non-financial information. It standardises the contents of financial and non-financial statements to make it easier to disseminate, access and compare information.
IRIS Carbon used for annotation and extraction
This was made possible by IRIS CARBON, a SaaS product that simplifies XBRL conversion and improves reporting quality. The solution allows authoring of compliance and disclosure statements in XBRL format.
XBRL taxonomy mapped to the BRSR
For the purposes of this effort the an XBRL taxonomy was developed that mapped to India’s BRSR (Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report). This was a joint effort by the team at IRIS Business Services and cKinetics.
Additional information sets
ICCAD also sources information from CDP, company sustainability reports and news, which are integrated into the indices, scorecards and trackers.
